Accessibility statement

This site should be usable by everyone. Here is what we do, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Nehoria is committed to making nehoria.com accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which also underlies the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) and equivalent regulations elsewhere.

What this site does

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy on every page.
  • A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Full keyboard operability: every link, button, form field, and expandable element can be reached and used with the keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Text alternatives (alt text) for every meaningful image; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Color contrast meeting AA ratios for text on both the ivory and the dark sections, and information never conveyed by color alone.
  • Resizable text: all sizes are defined in relative units, and the layout remains usable at 200% zoom and on small screens.
  • Form fields with visible, programmatically connected labels.
  • Declared page language on every page (English or Spanish), with language changes marked inline, so screen readers pronounce the text correctly.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" system setting: animations and smooth scrolling are disabled for users who request it.
  • No auto-playing audio or video, no flashing content, no time limits.
  • Descriptive page titles and link texts that make sense out of context.

Third-party content

Purchases are completed on Etsy, a third-party platform with its own accessibility practices that are outside our control. If the Etsy checkout presents a barrier for you, contact us and we will do our best to help you complete your purchase another way.

Known limitations

Our printable products are PDF files designed primarily for print. We are progressively improving their tagging for screen readers; if you need assistance with any file you purchased, write to us and we will help.

Feedback and contact

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, please tell us: through the contact options on our Etsy shop, or via nehoria.com's listed channels. We aim to respond within a few business days and to fix verified issues promptly.
